Alan Hawkins has been in the motor trade all his life. After taking semi-retirement nearly four years ago, he has spent a lot of his weekends with other members of the Bude Hill Climb and Sprint Club, helping with re-fuelling, changing wheels, checking levels etc. This is a great way to get involved, as is marshalling which he also did for nearly eight years.
The bug has finally bitten and this year he will be competing in the road going class with a 2004 Toyota MR2. He will try and keep a diary as the year progresses and put it up on the website to let you know how he gets on for the first year
